Data I/O's Ongoing Response to COVID-19
Data I/O has responded to the global COVID-19 crisis with three clear values:
- Protect our people and their families.
- Protect our critical infrastructure, including our facilities.
- Continue to serve our customers as an essential supplier.
As we have discussed in previous posts, we moved very quickly in all of our office locations in China, the USA, and Germany to move knowledge workers to remote work, while keeping essential factory infrastructure open using best practices for cleaning and operation. We moved very quickly to protect our people and our infrastructure.
We also are now seeing new demands from our customer base as they re-tool to quickly develop new equipment to support the treatment and care for people impacted around the world. To support this, we announced that we would assign all COVID-19 projects our top priority and waive any expedite fees normally charged for rush work. We understand how important these programs are, and why customers would have sudden changes in plans/forecasts. As the worldwide leader in programming systems for Medical Devices, Data I/O understands the demands and requirements of this industry, and has tailored our processes to deliver the quality, traceability and support required by our medical customers.
We are engaging with key customers now, and secured our first order under this new program to support expanded ventilator production in North America.
